Playing music is creative, artful, helping us express emotions and communicate deeply, it sharpens the mind, improves our focus, our attention span, and our memory;
Studying and playing music helps us learn better, improves our health, refreshes us, reduces stress, relaxes and energizes us.
Best of all, playing music with others, your family, friends, in worship, in groups, bands or ensembles is fun and makes you feel great!
Pretty cool isn’t it?

Josh Graduation picOne-on-one music instruction in Cypress, Texas for children through adults.  My teaching experience as a band director and an elementary music teacher using Orff Schulwerk and Kodaly principles help me to teach in an effective, enjoyable way, giving you the confidence to play music independently or with others. Music lessons are enjoyable (fun) and are designed to meet the individual’s unique needs (ADD, ADDHD, OCD, performance anxiety and other focus and learning issues), learning style and musical goals.  Whether an adult or a child, my students will learn to play their instrument correctly with expression, and I will help them to learn how to learn.      Contact me for a trial lesson.
