Does anyone remember WNOP AM 740 in Cincinnati, Ohio? The Jazz Ark. Radio Free Newport. The station used to be on Monmouth Street then moved to a floating studio on the Kentucky side of the Ohio river at the foot of Columbia Street. Floating Freely on the Ohio River as they used to say. Ray Scott, Bob Knave, Dick Pike, Leo Underhill, Max Warner, John Royer, Bunky Tadwell, Bill Nemmo, Paul Harvey News, Shelley Berman station IDs WNOP-Weep Not Old Peanut. Wow these photos have brought back memories. I hope that you enjoy your time here.
Steve Cumming sent me a 1977 aircheck for WNOP. Wow, I wish now that I did not throw out all of those cassette recordings from the late 70’s early 80’s my dad made for me of on air broadcasts. At least we have these. Thanks Steve!
